New US Money Design?

The Huffington Post has started a new poll in which people can vote on their favorite designs of the American money.

"Organized by creative strategy consultant Richard Smith, the Dollar ReDe$ign Project is soliciting ideas for the dollar bill of the future. "Our great 'rival', the Euro, looks so spanky in comparison it seems the only clear way to revive this global recession is to rebrand and redesign," the project notes on its website."

The current leader in this poll is a design submitted by Dowling Duncan(Shown Below), a British duo.

This design features a vertical monetary system as opposed to the current vertical system. The new design also bolsters a vast array of bright colors and figures that appear on the currency. Most notably is the current US president Barack Obama.

The presence of Obama has some people worried that he is trying too hard to make himself visible to people and that he is not a very popular president due to the fact that we are in a recession during his term. What people fail to realize is that he was given this recession from his predecessor and that he is doing his best to get us out of it.

I personally feel that this new monetary system looks great. It gives our money a more modern look to it and it matches other countries colorful currency. The currency that is in use now is a stepping stone to what it should have been remade to. They added color and watermarks to it but they just tried to keep a dying currency format alive.

But anyways, farewell friends. Until next time,

  2. I like the current design. The Euro's don't even look that good compared to the Brazilian Real, which is beautiful.

  4. Looks too fancy, I don't like it.
It should be a bit modernised, but not that much. Photoshop overdose.

  5. Follow Canada's lead on the new paper monies. We've had a rough time until recently, but all of our bills look pretty sweet now.
